100% ARABICA COFFEE BEANS - illy's unique smooth, rich and full-bodied taste is created by our expert blenders using a dynamic recipe that has been perfected for over 80 years to skilfully combine the top 1% of the finest 9 origins of Arabica, creating our globally renowned signature blend.
STRENGTH – Our decaffeinated range is a classic, medium roast with lingering sweetness and delicate notes of caramel, orange blossom and jasmine. It has no higher than 0.1% caffeine.
AUTHENTIC ITALIAN HIGH-QUALITY - illy coffee beans are as good for the planet as they are flawlessly consistent, smooth and never bitter.
PREPARATION – Warm up the coffee pot for a few minutes, filling it with hot water then use 7-8 grams (about a tablespoon) of ground coffee for about every 100-150 ml (about 3.3-5 oz) of water. Lovely but...
As other's have said the grind is just that bit too fine for my machine :( I work around it by putting a small amount of regular Illy in the holder first and then filling up with the decaf variety. Not ideal but it works for me.
Tastes Nice, No Good In a Machine
It tastes lovely but we have a coffee machine and its far too finely ground. It just doesnt come out, having less and not pressing it down helps a little but I still waste loads trying to get it to work, took me 4 attempts the other day!
Good coffee but poor quality control
I love this coffee, it hits the spot every time. However, having it delivered without a lid is useless because once opened you can keep it fresh unless you decanter it into another pot. So Ocado please make sure your quality control is on point going forward. if it wasn't for this I'd give it 5*.
We love it but our machine doesn't
Amazing tasting coffee, no doubt on that. It's strong and sometimes difficult to tell it's decaf. We use it in our super automatic Eletta Explore and it seems to choke it maybe 1 out of 3 times. We've tried adding less which helps a tiny bit but at the end of the day it's just too finely ground for me. Other than that, it's really really good coffee and I'd still recommend.
