This is not extra large fish
The fish was no bigger than the Youngs 4 large size. I was conned. Wont buy again, I dont rate Youngs fish as good as M&S.
EXCELLENT MEAL
GENUINELY GOOD FISH WITH A GREAT BATTER HAVE BEEN ORDERING IT NOW EVERY WEEK AND WE LOVE IT
small, thin, mushy fish.
Thought Id try and save £1.50ish compared to M&S frozen battered fish, wish I havent because this fish is pretty terrible in comparison. Its actually small, thin and the fish is mushy, is it NOT flaky at all. Although the batter is good in air fryer but thats literally the only redeeming thing about it, the batter. Next time I will just get my usual M&S beer battered frozen cod or haddock instead.
Tasty
Definitely not extra large! But really nice anyway. Cook on a rack or it won't be crispy underneath.
Feel cheated
The fish itself was lovely. The batter was soggy underneath. The size was NOT extra large so very disappointed with this. I wouldn't even call it large. Come On be fair to us customers.
whats changed
Have been buying this fish for a long time and it was lovely, but the last couple of boxes has been disgusting. The batter is still ok, but the fish is grey and dry. I dont even think its cod
