Not easy to use
Even though I read the reviews, still decided to buy - was a mistake. 1) Product name is misleading - it's not really drops, but quite a considerable amount to administer for a small baby 2) Hassle of having to sterilise the syringe 3) Baby often spits it out...
Never had a problem with this
I don't remember having any problems with this product, even early on. We simply administer directly into the mouth. We may have done it a few drops at a time to begin with, can't remember now. Our girl loves it.
Difficult with breastfeeding
The amount you need to administer is really difficult to apply while breastfeeding, and requires multiple applications for the 0.5ml syringe. I gave up after two days, and switched to another product that only requires one drop.
Avoid if breastfeeding
If breastfeeding (ie putting this on your nipple), look at other brands which only need one drop as this is a complete pain and I gave up after a couple of days. Also the syringe is rubbish so only really suitable if youre mixing with food or drink.
Good formula but poor design
The ingredients are exceptionally pure and good. Contains the ideal amount of vitamin D. Even suitable for adults; other vitamin D supplements contain far too many unnecessary extras and far too high a dose of vitamin D. Very reputable brand makes me comfortable giving this to my baby.. The only problem with this one is that the syringe is poorly designed. It spurts when trying to release the drawn liquid, meaning it creates a mess. Eventually the seal in the bottle through which you put in the syringe deteriorated from the oil and could no longer be used, which meant I had to transfer the remaining half of the oil to another brand bottle and use their dropper which worked much better. Now I just use this as a refill to better-designed bottles from a finished one I got from another brand. Remember, vitamin D is one of the only few vitamins officially recommended to take in the UK, especially during the winter months! Get this for you and your whole family, no reason adults can't use it. Taking too much vitamin D can cause its own long-term issues, but this is a pleasant dose for daily use.
easy to use
I tried before spray ones and this is way better. Use of syringe makes it easy to administer and goes straight on tongue whereas spray might go everywhere. Also my baby prefers syringe
