Lovely roast
Nice roast, great cup of coffee
Great coffee
Full flavour, good price, a regular in our house.
Stale, Over-Roasted, Dissapointing Flavour Profile
Stale - Roast date on the bag is over 2 months ago. When paying a premium for hand roasted coffee, this is unnacceptable. Over-Roasted - These beans have been roasted far too long developng a blackened appearance indicative of roasters attempting to normalise poor quality beans by roasting them to oblivion. If this is what they call a medium roast they need to dial it right back for these poor beans. Dissapointing Flavour Profile - This tastes nothing like single origin Ethiopian coffee. The dark roast brings out an acidic, bitter, starbucks-esque flavour. The mild citrus, sweet fruit, dark chocolate flavours are missing from the cup. The convenience of buying this with my regular shop would be fantastic but unfortunately this is a sub-standard product which will only leave you dissapointed.

This is our favourite Union Coffee. After reading an article in a Kew Gardens magazine about this coffee, we checked Ocado and found they stocked it so ordered some to try. We have not been disappointed, it is a real find and is now a regular purchase. It is lovely and smooth with wonderful aroma, we have not found it to be bitter. it is our weekend coffee, delightful.
tasted burnt and reheated
disappointed
acidic and distinctive
I love this. It's very distinctive in flavour and the citrus-lemony acidic tang is notable. It's medium roast and I mix 10% or so very dark beans into my blend to add a little smoke and bitterness that this single variety doesn't have.
