You get what you pay for. Should be called Hint Tea as no depth of flavour.
dont understand the bad reviews
My favourite peppermint tea and at a good price
Has some black tea mixed in with it
Normally Twinings Peppermint tea is superb. Not so the recent batch which clearly has some black tea leaves mixed into it. I'm hypersensitive to caffeine in either tea or coffee and react really badly to it With this peppermint tea I get a caffeine reaction, whereas I have never had that from any peppermint tea before. There is also something about the taste of black tea that makes me gag - I have no idea why this is - and this peppermint tea has the same effect, albeit very mildly. I'm so disappointed and will be looking for another brand.
Inconsistent and not great
The first box of this tea tasted moderately minty with a hint of sweetness. The second tasted of grass clippings that had grown near some peppermint. Years ago it was so easy to buy consistently high quality peppermint tea bags in the UK (Sainsbury's, Tesco and Asda own brands were superb). Not so now. What on earth has gone wrong with peppermint tea production?
Single as in 1 cup
Refreshing flavour, helps with upset tummies
Not thirst quenching
This mint tea always leaves me feeling thirsty and has a slight brackish taste.
