Tsarine Prestige Cuvee Brut NV Champagne

Cuvee Premium - White French Champagne.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans

Tsarine is made by Chanoine Frères, which was founded in 1730; only the house of Ruinart is older.
The Tsarine cuvée was originally created in honour of the Russian tsars, since Russia was a major export market for champagne in the nineteenth century.
Relaunched in 2000, the Tsarine range comes in a very distinctive and unique bottle, with ridged swirls instead of a smooth surface.

Tasting Notes
The ne, ethereal dance of delicate bubbles rises through the glass in green-gold glints. The aromas are expressed discreetly, slowly: lime blossom and lemon grass mingle with lighter notes of bitter orange and quince. The freshness and the elegance of this cuvée are conrmed on the palate. The dominant citrus notes combine with the more sophisticated aromas of white peach and Corinth grape.
History
Few years after bought Chanoine Frères, Mr Philippe Baijot created a prestigious cuvée for women: TSARINE. It is an homage to Tsarist Russia of the Tsars and especially to the women of the Russian nobility from the 19th Century. This cuvée has been imagined like a perfum. Its bottle is totally different and seems to spin.

Lovely smooth champagne

I got this on a deal and I wish I had purchased a few bottles. It is a really good price still if you look at other shops. This was not bitter or sour and had the right amount of bubbles. Much nicer than Bollinger and Moet. I will purchase it again.

Very nice

Easy drinking, decent Champagne. I personally prefer my Champagne with a bit more character, but I think this is really nice and superb value when on offer. The bottles lovely, too, so its very giftable. Particularly as its so quaffable.
