No Truffle flavour
Id love to recommend this product but I cant. Its very expensive for a honey that just tastes like, well honey! but nothing else.
Amazing in savoury dishes
I was skeptical when I purchased but I think most of the negative reviews on this product are where people have treated this like a sweet honey for yoghurt, toast etc. When used as an ingredient in savoury dishes (for example, I did a starter with burrata, pear, crispy artichokes and this honey drizzled over the top) it is absolutely incredible. Ditto for bruschetta with figs and mozzarella or goats cheese with this on top. SO DELICIOUS!! expensive but a little goes a long way and 100% worth it. Will definitely repurchase.
nice treat for cooking
Received from Ocado to review. This has been nice to drizzle over pork chops and other meals. Nice sweet and earthy. I probably wouldnt splash out this much on it in future though.
nicely presented but expensive
Im not sure I would buy this as received to review. Its a lovely looking jar that comes with a wooden honey thing to pour the honey. Would be nice to put in a hamper for a real foodie who is into posh foods!
Good with cheese or meat.
Not sure if I'd buy it again but this pot will last a while and works well for cooking purposes
Interesting take on honey
I was really keen to try this truffle honey as I wanted a new honey to use as a covering for chicken . The truffle addition gave the chicken an earthy dimension that worked well with the honey. The family enjoyed it . I also used it to make a salad dressing and this too worked well. It is expensive but a little goes a long way . The wooden drizzler is good to look at and worked well. It is expensive but is worth it for the unique taste. I would buy it again.
