What happened?
We've been buying these lovely big kitchen rolls with strong thick sheets for about three years and suddenly they've been changed to something thinner and less strong. We didn't mind paying more for a superior product but now we may as well buy the el cheapo versions.
Unimpressed
I was given this as a substitution for the Regina Blitz I always buy. The Thirst Pockets are no better in absorbing liquid spills than the much cheaper own brand ones you can get in supermarkets. These Thirst Pockets are the same price as the Blitz ones but of much poorer quality. I will not be accepting these as a substitute again.
Expensive, not very good
We were so disappointed with this. When we've bought Regina kitchen rolls in the past they've been really good - they were absorbent, the sheets were a good size and it wasn't too expensive, but these sheets are about half the width and not fit for purpose. We would have been better off buying a value range.
Cutting corners
It's 2022 and they decided to make the sheets thinner to improve their margins. They went from being robust and absorbent to being a single sheet that breaks apart whenever it touches something wet.
No better than cheaper Ocado ones
I was given a free sample of these by Ocado to write a review. Decent, absorbent kitchen roll, but no better than the cheaper Ocado branded ones that I normally buy.
Very disappointing
We used to buy Thirst Pockets then changed to Plenty during lockdown in 2020 due to lack of stock. Bought TP recently and was surprised how poor the quality was. The sheets disintegrated quickly when damp and when sheets were used to pat dry par boiled potatoes bits of the towel stuck to the veg. Will not purchase again.
