perfect for a quick dinner
Roasted a whole chicken covered in this. Made a sauce with this as a base - added coconut milk and some peanut butter plus tiny amount of fish sauce. Had it with rice and pickled cucumber and carrots- was a hit.
Thick and peanuty
Not as good as homemade but great store cupboard backup for quick sauce with katsu chicken or similar. I thin it down with water to pouring consistency (as suggested in jar) so I dont know why previous reviews say its thin!
Sub for usual brand
The usual brand is not available lately so had this one sent. Didn’t like it, had a Thai flavour which I’m not keen on - too much of a perfumed flavour with lemongrass. Wouldn’t buy again.
Dreadful sauce
This sauce is borderline inedible - not sure how it passed quality control!
watery and bland
I bought this in stead of the Amoy. Such a disappointment. Runny and bland. Maybe ok for cooking but definitely no good for dipping. I have reserved judgement as havent used it to cook but it does say it is for both. Not for me.
truly revolting.
sugary sickly sweet, horrid chemical taste.one of the most disgusting things I have put in my mouth! be afraid,be very afraid!
