Source Organic Uganda Mount Elgon Cloud Forest Coffee 227g

Brimming with environmental, social and ecological benefits, this outstanding single origin coffee supports some 300 coffee farmers in a reforestation project around the Mount Elgon region of Uganda. The project provides a safeguard for Mount Elgon National Park and Central Forest - one of the most diverse ecosystems in Africa - by reducing pressure on resources. The coffee rewards farmers in and around Mount Elgon to protect the forests by planting trees and reducing a dependency on clearing forests for firewood, which in turn protects hundreds of animal species including forest monkeys and antelope which graze on the mountainside.
For every bag sold, local farmers plant trees to support the forest and their families. All Source coffees are offset using reforestation carbon credits and are 100% traceable to the forest community conservation project.

Delicious coffee with a great cause
I rarely buy other coffee brands these days as there are atleast five to choose from in this brand. There’s no mucking about with this one, it’s smooth and tasty and the dark choc tones are a lovely touch. Cannot recommend highly enough! And not only that but you’re buying coffee with a cause! Check it out.
Weak.
This is bland and tasteless, at best a 2, exceptionally weak coffee.
one of a kind
Source Coffee is so unique. I found them through the Tasters Choice Awards! Discerning coffee lovers will not be disappointed. (If youre a fan of the chain stores that over roast, this is not for you)
Lovely taste, too fine for espresso machine
Confused by the comment about it being too coarse, as I found this way finer than my espresso machine likes and so it tended to leak. The coffee itself was also rather thin which I think was related to the grind. I really enjoyed the flavor in spite of how it brewed, I ended up using slightly less than the 10g I normally use and that worked better. This is a strong coffee flavor, and I plan on using it in the future for any baking/desserts that use coffee.
Lacks body and flavour
I’m very disappointed in this expensive coffee. It is thin tasting, lacks depth and has little flavour. I certainly don’t get a ‘dark chocolate’ finish as advertised. I get more of a thin, acid lemon tea finish. I notice this coffee has no roasted date on the packet like Union coffee has. Big waste of money and my time as I’ve tried different techniques to get more flavour and to ‘dial in’ this coffee.
Not too heavy not too light, toast chocolate notes
I tried this coffee in a cafetière and it worked perfectly... gives off wonderful toasty chocolate notes. I'd agree that this is not for an espresso machine!
