bung in some spinach and boom
slightly odd smell out of the packet, but bung in a pan with a pile of spinach and it made a lovely side
Cupboard Staple
The fresh stuff is better but this has a really long shelf life and is great for a quick last minute, no fuss meal. With a microwave rice alongside, you'll be eating a good meal within 5 minutes. This also has a good Tadka flavour and the lentils still have good bite.
lovely quick meal
This is quick and tasty meal to do with rice or roti
Best packet dal
Tastiest prepared dal ever!
Delicious
Authentic Dal, good amount of heat whilst not overpowering, and great texture and flavour. After heating I remove the chilli and stir, put it in a bowl in the middle of the table to share and eat it with Shana parathas. A great family breakfast and my children are converted. Much better than toast and cornflakes.
Delicious dal
For me this is very tasty for a cupboard meal, and not the same boring flavour you get with tinned ready made food. Its a dal and so is not thick in texture. Good ingredients and authentic flavours: mine included a chilli pepper as well as lentils. I enjoyed it with a toasted pita bread for lunch.
