OK but not amazing
I found this OK but not amazing. Slightly woody as dried herbs sometimes can be, and the herb balance wasn't spot on for me - whether traditional or not I don't know but my favour HdP mix has parsley and bay in too rather than (as here) oregano, which I associated more with Italian mixed herbs.
adds a sunny taste to everything
it goes particulary goes well with lamb ( add garlic and olive oil!) I also add some in the ratatouille ( just red onion , peppers ,aubergine and courgettes cooked in olive oil with a bit of garlic) try it !
Fabulous scent and flavour
I have been using this blend for all sorts of recipes. Gorgeous flavours and perfect mixed into butter with garlic paste and put under chicken skin or in casseroles, pasta etc. Scrummy flavours.
Savoury
The best herbs de Provence there is. This is the most authentic mix around as it contains Savoury and no basil. Delicious added on pizzas, sprinkle on chicken or in ratatouillethe list goes on.
Best there is
These Herbes de Provence are so much nicer than any other dried HdP you can get. They are just delicious and add a gentle depth to any dish, particularly chicken dishes. I think that it is the addition of the Savoury, which is often absent from other dried herbes de provence. It is pricey, but often on offer, so I stock up then!!
