I needed a basic tape measure when moving to a new property. I wasn't expecting much for the price but it served me well and is still going strong months later. Quality was far better than expected or earlier reviews would suggest.
Cheap for a reason! The lock to stop the take broke first time upon pressing, just crumpled and snapped. Bought another thinking it was bad luck. That second one broke, same thing, after a week. Beyond useless.
The metal stopper broke off after only a few uses making the tape unusable. Reading the other reviews this appears to be a common problem for this product suggesting a manufacturing fault. Would not buy again.
