Paint inside of tin scratches too easily
I bought this tuna remembering what a good company it was when I lived in Italy for many years. The tuna is just the right texture. However, I was quite alarmed to see that the white painted lining of the tin scratched far too easily leaving very big metal scrape marks inside when I tried to gently scoop out the contents into a bowl. I do not remember this happening with a tinned product ever before and it was somewhat concerning that the scratched paint chippings could contaminate the fish.
Nice for sandwiches
This was good chopped into spring onion, mayo and a couple of capers. Would only use Charles Bassett or Ortiz for a salad, good to keep in the cupboard
Far too salty.
Moist,but far,far too salty.
Good
This is still dry, so dont think you are going to get a succulent tin of tuna. But its the least driest tin of non oil tuna out there. So if you want to cut down on calories then this is great but if you want it moist then I would stick to the ones with olive oil .
All time favourite
Perfectly moist and tasty, with so much flavour. Good quality every time. No need for messy draining. I love it just mixed with mayo on hot toast.
Delicious & versatile
Used this in potato salad and found it moist and delicious in flavour. No faffing about with draining either. Pricey, but definitely a cut above supermarket tuna.
