Moreish
This is a delight! It takes about 15 minutes to heat, let it stand for at least another 10 to 'set' and you have a dinner party worthy dessert, family weekend treat or an indulgent share for two with plenty for leftovers. It will satisfy any chocolate lover. The inside is creamy, gooey and fluffy in places with a crispy edge and top layer. You get at least six generous slices from each one and it can be eaten cold the next day, but remember to keep it in the fridge overnight. When it is warm it tastes fantastic with ice cream or chilled cream. You could try it with raspberry sorbet or chocolate mint custard as these taste great too and add a little variety to the classic cream or ice cream combo with dessert. It keeps in the freezer for months, but you'll want it before then! A great last minute luxury dessert for guests or yourself as it cooks from frozen. Not too sweet while retaining a deep chocolatey heart.
Delicious chocolate moelleux mousse cake
Rich, soft, light - absolutely delicious. Highly recommend with some Greek yoghurt. We used to like the Charlie Bighams chocolate pudding until they changed the recipe and made them half size - this Picards is our new favourite, and far better.
Rich chocolate dessert
I kept to the cooking instructions, and it wasn't ready, so I left a little Ionger, and it was overcooked. It's a rich dark chocolate dessert. The taste was nice, just a little crunchy on the outside. I would buy it again.
A freezer staple
I always try to keep one of these in the freezer as they're such a treat but also great to pull out if we have last minute guests and we need a sweet. It warms up quickly in the oven and has such a beautifully rich and decadent centre. Great quality and a family favourite.
Picard Products
I have to say most if not all the Picard products are really French. For the most part they're better than any UK supermarket. The Choc Fondant seems a little overpriced but mostly the prices are closes enough to what we overpay here at home. The Lemon meringue is generous but it is tangy and sharper than here. What I'm truly longing for is the true French mayonnaise found in every charcuterie in France. Nobody makes better mayo than the French in my view and I dislike our version most of all. Apologies but I'm being honest here
Chocolate Heaven
I love this cake! it was so rich! Shame the price is higher now it makes a treat rather than a weekly shop.
