Could be better
The pastry part at the top and sides taste fine, the issue is at the bottom which is so oily literally my air fryer is full of oil. The custard is fine although a little to sweet, would be nice for a proper dusting of spice on top.
Enjoyed them warm
Whilst they arent quite as the ones you find in Portugal, they are still pretty good. After following the instructions carefully, they puffed up beautifully and the pastry was nice and crisp. Will get them again as a treat!
nata ???
what the hell was that ? anyone who ever ate a nata in portugal would go mad yerk
expensive
Nice but not worth the extra v uk egg custards. Also - poor cooking instructions - from frozen:defrosted??
Nice but
These are a nice enjoyable product but having just returned from Lisbon and on the search for an authentic pastel de nata, this sadly isnt it. Lacks the saltiness and cinnamon of the real thing but it is a lovely little treat, cooked for 25 mins which is 5 mins more than the recommended time. Crisp pastry and pleasant but not the same as the Portuguese ones I enjoyed recently.
just ok
every time these come in soggy and greasy on the bottom, hard and dried out around the rim. the custard is ok but has none of the caramel depth that bakery pasteis de nata have.
