not great quality
I have bought better quality from other supermarkets
good
Got sent these to review, roasted in oven made pesto very nice.
Hit and Miss!
I agree with the last reviewer that the quality has dipped recently. I received several packets that were in date but tasted old and musty. My last delivery was back to the usual standard. Lets hope it stays that way.
the product is off
I bought a few packs over a couple of deliveries and each pack tasted mouldy. Really bad product quality.
Tasty and long\-lasting
Lovely pine nuts. I throw a few into various dishes, hot or cold, and they enhance everything. My current pack is a couple of months after its best before date now, but I have kept them stored in a little airtight tub and they are as tasty and fresh as the day I opened them. Will buy again.
NOT Italian!
To answer the questions of so many here, these are categorically NOT Italian pine nuts. This can easily be ascertained by taking a glance at them and seeing that they are short and stumpy, as opposed to being longer and thinner. A simple internet search for a comparison image will help a lot. This matters because these pine nuts are from an entirely different species of tree than the Italian ones, have a wildly different flavour and texture and, frankly, are just a totally different ingredient altogether. Also, these can cause 'pine mouth', which can ruin someone's taste experience for days or even weeks. Some people aren't affected by it, some people are affected very seriously by it. If you want to try these, it's worth trying three or four straight from the pack and then leaving it for a few days to see if you notice a change in your taste sensations before you pile a load into a massive meal.
