not up to Natoora usual standards
Small, so small and full of large seeds. This was an end of season aubergine that really shouldnt have been sold and certainly not at the premium price it carried.
Old and Brown
We have had aubergines from Ocado for months and sad to say they always arrive dented, brown and mouldy. They look weeks old.
firm and fresh
Cut in half lengthy way snd roasted in oven Firm flesh and slightly more bitter than other variety
bruised and squidgy
Opened on day of delivery to find brown bruising and very squidgy patches all over. No wonder they put in an opaque bag. Happening more and more. Come on Ocado youre going to lose a loyal customer.
Proper Melanzane
Exceptional quality aubergines and often a lot larger than the advertised 320g size. I got one that was 580g this week. They make the perfect Melanzane Parmigiana and are a staple in our household.
Good quality aubergines but past best
They almost always arrive rotten and past best, when they dont they are of very good quality. I suspect Natoora allocates expired vegetables to Ocado since if you buy direct their products are always top notch.
