Not as good as they used to be
These have been a long standing favourite and I bought them lately and they don’t seem to be the same. Something subtlety different but I’m not as into them as before :(
tasty but misleading
these were tasty enough, but at 70% green lentils to 10% puy lentils the package description is a bit misleading
Slight recipe change?
Last night we had an bag of these I'd ordered a while back and they were lovely. Tomato-ey and not too much basil or flavouring. However a more recent batch, when I ordered 4 bags on a flash sale have been less good. Those newer bags have a much more fake flavour from the basil or something else, I can't put my finger on it. The flavour is quite overwhelming and it is too dry and less tomato-ey compared to how they used to be. Not sure we will continue to buy. A real shame as I've loved these since I've found them but the perfumey flavour of the basil and "natural flavourings" seems to have changed them from delicious to questionable. Last night's bag was confirmation that the recipe has been tweaked for the worse as it reminded me of the old flavour which we used to so enjoy. Please take out the natural flavourings and go back to how things were! I couldn't put my fork down last night.
Flavourful and filling
I love the convenience of these lentils and they have a rich tomatoey taste. I ate these with some salmon and courgette and it was delicious.
4*
These are lovely but shame about the addition of “natural flavourings”.
Love the product, shame about the packaging
I love these, but we're trying to reduce our plastic use. I have signed up to their recycling scheme, but I think firms should do more to 'reduce' and 'reuse' in their supply chains first.
