Scones
You will need just 225g McDougall's self raising flour, 50g butter, 25g caster sugar, 150ml milk and a pinch of salt, egg to glaze.
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan/ Gas mark 6.
Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl. Then rub the butter into the mixture until you have a crumb like texture. Now mix in your sugar.
The flour's already been sifted for you!
Add the milk and mix to form a soft dough and turn out onto a floured surface, knead lightly.
Don't knead too much as this can create flat and heavy scones.
Roll out to just over 1 cm in thickness and cut into 6.5cm diameter rounds.
Arrange on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg or milk, bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
For an extra twist why not add 50g dried fruit when you add ad in your sugar!

Perfect!
Perfect self raising flour, used it on all sorts of things (my favourite being cake or american pancakes!). Really good quality and pre-sifted for that fine texture!
Excellent quality flour
One of the best quality floor for baking, makes nice and soft pastries, pre sifted so it makes baking easier.
Premium self\-raising flour
Pre-sifted flour saves time and effort, and you really can't argue with the quality of Mcdougalls. Great premium flour which is really light and airy and gives good results in baking - it made a lovely, fluffy scones. Excellent product and fairly priced. Made a vanilla cake which came out soft and fluffy. Good product for the baking cupboard.
good quality
Im reviewing this product as Ocado sent me a free sample. Made a lovely light cake and some very fluffy American style pancakes. Pre-sifted which is convenient. Good flour.
Fine flour and fluffy cakes
Noticeably more finely-ground than my usual SR flour. Cakes made with it were fluffy and light.
