Oven Glove
I was looking forward to receiving this glove, because my old ones are looking a bit grubby, and I have to wash them frequently. You can rinse most of the glove, and the cuff part seems to be made of a nice cotton material.... but when I put my hand in, it was a horrible scratchy man made material. I know a lot of people don't seem to be bothered by this type of nylon, but for me, I will not be using it. I will keep it for guests.
Minimal heat protection
I bought this to replace another oven glove that I had had for years and which was no longer providing enough insulation against the heat. Sadly this glove isn't any better - I can only hold pans for very short periods before the heat travels through the glove and starts hurting my hand.
Runs large
Fantastic oven glove, near impossible to burn yourself with this, it's more like a gauntlet. My only criticism is that it runs large to size. I have quite big hands and even so it can be tricky to feel as though you've got a good hold on hot casserole dishes.
At last
A mitt that grips. And you can rinse under the tap. Six stars.
Perfect
Good grip, insulates very well - even hot Pyrex & still effective when wet. Perfect if the glove fits...
