different but nice
I was surprised by how good this was! Couldve done with a bit of seasoning on the meat but still pleasant
Lacked seasoning
To be honest I didn't think it tasted any better than basic scotch egg. I heated as instructed and yes the yolk was still soft. Looked good on plate, we realised that a soft yolk would be rather messy for the picnic as planned so we had for supper. Thank goodness for mustard and freshly ground black pepper. I think I was expecting something more exciting. But can see it working with a decent chutney as a starter.
Top class
I'm a huge scotch egg fan, and having only recently discovered this one, I'm a total convert. I went to a County show recently where some food traders were selling 'proper' scotch eggs at £5 a pop! These are just as good, and if bought as part of the meal deal are incredibly good value.
A Treat
We like these scotch eggs a lot. They have a lot of flavour and are a real treat. The crumb is crisp and egg runny and tasted very similar to what I had recently in a restaurant. Eat with Coleslaw if you like that kind of thing !
super tasty scotch egg! best in a long time
You cant beat a fresh scotch egg but this is a very good effort. Cook in the oven and you still get a soft yolk. Super tasty would definitely buy again even at full price!
