Pretty spicy but bland flavour
This is certainly on the spicier side for a supermarket curry but there are hotter ones out there. What is disappointing is the flavour - it doesnt really have much of one. Its not exactly tasteless but its like a slightly bland, generic curry taste. The chicken also had a weird texture, dry and soft almost like plant based chicken pieces, and it tasted strangely lemony. The heat was enjoyable but thats not really enough on its own. I wouldnt buy it again.
Can only taste chilli nothing else
Been wanting to try this for a while, and had it for dinner. Was expecting the spice to be balanced with other flavours, but could only taste fiery nagar chillies. Was too one dimensional for me. I can handle chillies as I have grown up eating spicy food being of punjabi heritage, but this was in another level my tongue was on fire on every spoonful. I even mixed in spoon after spoon of Greek yoghurt made no difference to the spice level. Even adding Indian sugar sukkur a few spoons to it the spice would not abate. Now the next morning my stomach is feeling upset. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, it needs more balance in flavour and less chilli heat, then it might be more palatable to the masses.
