confused
I'm new to microwave cooking and am confused by the instructions' reference to a 'steam hole' because the lid is solid plastic. There's no steam hole. I'll try heating something in the microwave with the lid just sitting, not locked: wish me luck!
Looked good
It arrived wrapped in a thin plastic bag. And was cracked. Could not use but looked good otherwise.
Better than my German storage jars
Only used once, so far so good. The glass seems quite tough, unlike the popular German brand which chip easily.
great containers
Usually, I write reviews because the product is either not fit for purposes or is just not worth buying, but I have bought more than 20 of those and none of the lids have broken. I have purchased many more from a well-known tyrannical online store, which ended up being cheaper versions straight from China (as most are on that store) and half of the containers have either broke or have their lid damaged in some way, or just dont stay locked, which really and truly missing the point. So I am now buying another 20 of these lock and lock containers because I am that happy with them. Plus the lids always perfectly lock and do not bent in the dishwasher and the sides do not irritatingly pop out for no reason. A little note: When placing these or any type of containers in the microwave, the lid should never be locked. Its logical! Every single microwave manual will have that warning. Furthermore, these indications can also be found on containers leaflet.
fragile lid
Lid broke after only 1 use
Faulty lid for microwave
I bought this bowl and a smaller one for cooking vegetables in the microwave. However, the lids on both bowls could not be removed after cooking. They were completely stuck and I had to slice the lid with a knife to release both (they werent used at the same time but had identical issues). I thought the whole point of having the 4 lips on the lids was so you could lift them to remove the lid? Not so, they were stuck like glue!! Very disappointing.
