Not worth the price
Overpriced for what is essentially regular smoked salmon. Im unable to detect any difference in taste or texture. The loch fyne kinglass salmon which is expensive, has a distinctive flavour and you can taste the quality.
TERRIBLE!!
This is definitely the worst smoked salmon I have ever bought. Slimy, rubbery, lots of black sections. All the slices are pressed together in a lump making it very difficult to separate. Was planning on having smoked salmon bagels for lunch, but my husband has just shown me that you cant just bite into the salmon, it needs a very sharp knife to cut & then it still is not chewable. Loch Fyne USED to be the best, not any more. I definitely do not recommend.
dry and flavourless
At this price, I would expect much better quality. Will not buy again.
too salty
I usually love loch fine but this batch was just too salty
Disappointing
I expected this to be really good, but it was very thickly cut small pieces which just tore unto shreds.
GREASY AND SLIMY \- NOT GOOD
Having tasted pretty much every producer's offering of smoked salmon, this is way down the list. Very slimy and oily farmed salmon. Not impressed and not worth anywhere near the crazy premium price - even at Flash sale promotion rate, there are better other options than this. I see other reviewers have noticed how slimy and oily Loch Fyne smoked salmon is as well.
