LEAP MSC Keta Salmon Fillets 220g
£8.60
£39.09 per kgProduct information
Keta swim further in their lifetime than any other species of Pacific wild salmon, which makes them very low in fat. These fillets are fabulous grilled or poached, why not try wrapping in foil and baking in the oven? Or why not try grilling in on a barbecue for a subtle, smoky flavour?
Wild-caught in the inlets of Southern and Central Alaska and around the beautiful Iturup Island, our keta salmon is free, not farmed. Dedicated to keeping the wild population healthy and abundant, every fishery we use has been certified as sustainable to the Marine Stewardship Council's expert standard.

Very bad
I buy this brands tuna often with good results but the salmon I got today was absolutely terrible. I really wish I could post a picture. Dont buy it.
Didn’t last and unpleasant texture
It went off before it’s use by date. It had a slightly off smell. I tried cooking it anyway and tried a small piece. It tasted off and had unpleasant texture - not firm, slightly watery and soft. Had to throw it away. Wouldn’t buy again.
Not farmed\- tastes great
We can totally taste the difference and won't buy farmed (even sea farmed) again
Proper colour
Nice light pink in colour, not dyed. Wild caught not farmed. Cooked lovely, texture was good and tasted nice. Would buy again.
Not the freshest
I love that this is wild however this already smelt like it was starting to turn the day after it was delivered (2 days left before use-by date). Still alright to cook but a shame it wasn't fresher
Dreadful - disintegrated on opening
I understand that this is 'previously frozen' but lately the texture of this fish has been increasingly weird. The latest fillets disintegrated when I opened the packet and lifted them out. They were basically mush. I attempted to cook them but the texture and the huge amount of white gunk riding out of the top meant they were very unappetising to say the least. Tried to eat but the taste was non existent - despite the use of quality olive oil, sea salt, black pepper and some lemon juice - awful. Would they be any better cooked from frozen? I'm not taking the risk. Will buy wild salmon elsewhere .
