Tasting Notes
La Cuvée is pale gold with fine bubbles that feed a persistent mousse. The nose is delicate with hints of fresh citrus and white flowers. The wine’s complexity is expressed in successive notes such as those of vine peach and white fruit. A perfect balance between freshness and delicacy with fruity flavours very present on the finish.
History
The House of Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot and took the name Vve Laurent-Perrier when Mathilde Emilie Perrier, the widow of Eugène Laurent, combined the two family names after she decided to expand the business. Eugénie Hortense Laurent, her daughter, inherited the House in 1925 and sold it to Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt in 1939. Fired by a passion for champagne, a respect for traditional values and, most importantly, for people, Bernard de Nonancourt inspired Laurent-Perrier with his independent spirit and creative audacity. He established privileged working relationships with the grape growers and cleverly combined innovation and tradition. He created the signature Laurent-Perrier style of freshness, finesse and elegance and developed a unique range of champagnes which are today exported to more than 160 countries worldwide. His legacy lives on today through his daughters.
Regional Information
Champagne terroir covers a roughly 34,000 ha of vineyards, each one bringing together a combination of climate, soil & terrain. The production zone AOC was defined & delimited by a law passed in 1927. The terroir has two major features: northerly latitude & dual climate. The subsoil is mainly limestone with the addition of chalk & marl. This subsoil has good drainage & also adds that mineral taste to certain Champagnes. The moderately steep terrain offers perfect exposure to sunlight with added drainage.

Vinification Details
For blending, only the musts of the Cuvée are used, so only 80% of the grape juice is extracted from pressing. Laurent-Perrier’s style and personality are defined by its very high proportion of Chardonnay. Purity, freshness and elegance - essential characteristics, expressed in this champagne which embodies the spirit of the House.

Absolutely perfect!

This was served in the VIP bar at the Royal Albert Hall (£95 a bottle) and I was genuinely surprised at how good it was. I've had many champagnes over the years, but this is my new go to bottle for any celebration.

Absolutely lovely!

For me second only to the rose! Clean sparkling flavour, doesn’t lose bubbles easily, goes with most foods. Well priced for quality, mine and my daughter and son in laws favourite! Any excuse for Laurent perrier is a good one!

Our absolute favourite!

This champagne is absolutely delicious. It seems to be a favourite amongst several of our friends too, we served it at our sons christening and everyone really enjoyed it. We have tried several but always come back to this one being the best!

Not worth the price as tasted cheap

This was a harsh tasting champagne which was not nice to drink, tried to have on New Years and was disappointed as tasted cheap, perhaps a dodgy bottle.
