We love these ..
In stir fries & currys, they always stay crunchy & gives you a different texture.
Okay, but nothing special
I've had lovely canned water chestnuts in the past and also some horrible bitter tasting water chestnuts, but I wouldn't say these were lovely or horrible, just a bit bland. These are thinly sliced and taste like the slicing has caused a certain amount of flavour to be lost in the water. They are much better when canned whole. Don't think I'd bother buying these again.
Great crunch, no hassle!
I'm no Asian chef, but love the range of cuisine. These sliced water chestnuts add so much to home-made meals - texture, mild flavour, bigtime crunch. Just drain the water from the tin, add contents to your stir-fry, mix with rice of your choice and sauce. Very YUM no hassle!
Absolutely fantastic in Thai curries
It seems expensive for one can, be we can make a vegetarian Thai red curry out of this can, a large onion and a red pepper

I have no other brand to compare them to, but I love these water chestnuts in a stir fry, they provide a lovely contrast in texture and taste.
