Expensive and not a treat.
These were supposed to be my Christmas treat but they were not. The chocolate was so dark and so bitter it was overpowering. Cherries stood no taste chance. Horribly expensive, but I left the rest after not enjoying two.
Overpriced and underwhelming
I bought some of these a couple of years ago and I didn't understand the hype. They were dry and the cherry flavour failed to come through. A recent retry courtesy of a gift led to the same conclusion. These are disappointing in terms of flavour and mouth feel; for the price they're doubly disappointing. Far better value and better flavour would be gained by buying three boxes of M&S cherry liqueurs for the same price.
Delicious
Absolutely lovely - tasty cherries soaked in kirsch in a lovely chocolate coating. One of my favourites from Hotel Chocolat.
Very disappointing
Was really looking forward to trying these but how very underwhelming they turned out to be. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the cherries are rather dry, no liquid, and small. Dont bother, Hotel Chocolat have some work to do here
