Italian pasta maker Garofalo has been making high quality pasta since 1789 in Gragnano, the birthplace of pasta in Italy. Making handcrafted pasta for Garofalo does not mean having out dated machines or producing product by hand, but knowledge, modern technology and a sound philosophy of production. Garofalo carefully control every single aspect of the process until the final result is what they consider the absolute best pasta.
Gemelli are spiral pasta. It appears to look like two tubes twisted around each other, but is in fact one single s-shaped strand twisted to form a spiral, like interlaced string. Gemelli looks so much like two tubes twisted together, that its name is derived from the Italian word for "twins".

the best
The best pasta! Loved by all the family
My new favorite
This pasta is honestly.. the best!! You have to try to understand how good! Not sure how to describe, but the texture of them is like theyre fresh, homemade pasta! Ive tried the other bio pasta of this brand and also great, but this one is the winner!
Not bad pasta....
Not bad pasta- we don’t find much difference between this and the cheap stuff...shame about the insane price of this! It’s more than doubled since we purchased and that is insane! I get that prices have gone up, but massive price hikes like these are needless and tip families over the edge into debt. This same pasta is available at other stores for a substantially lower price point, so if we are desperate then we’ll buy from there. To be honest, pasta is pasta...flour and water. There’s not a huge difference and I’m sure in a taste test people wouldn’t tell this apart from the basic one!
The Best by far
I am fully converted to this pasta as I find its the only one with full flavour , I only ever buy this range now, would recommend
Great tasting pasta
Best pasta I've had in a long time. Most pastas are so so and need covering with sauces. This one was delicious just boiled, drained and dusted with a flourish of pecorino. Delicious.
Overcooked at the time on packet
Even when reducing cooking time, had no bite at all.
