lovely basic sauce but excellent quality

This sauce is super versatile. I add half a beef stock cube and make meatballs in it. Or, top a pizza with it and sprinkle with extra oregano. It works well on a pasta on its own too. We are happy with quality and buy this along other sauces. We also buy the garofalo pastas as they are delicious. Even with just butter or some olive oil.

Cheap and nasty quality

My husbands family near Napoli love Garofalo pasta as it is a premium quality product in Italy. We thought we would try the sauce expecting the same. Avoid this it is truly cheap quality and nasty!

Weird taste, cant associate it with any of the ingredients, didnt like it.

Surprised by some of the other reviews. Found this really bland. Even my kids, who like bland food, refused to eat it.

Best pasta sauce in a jar, now a cupboard staple.

I bought a couple of these to try and they will now be a cupboard staple. Not over sweet like some of the better know brands it makes a fantastic base that you can customise to taste. I have used this with pasta and after reducing a little in a pan I even used it on some home made pizza dough. A little more expensive than others, but well worth the added cost. Good flavour and consistency not watery and artificially thickend like some.... Do order one to try, you won't be disappointed if you like cooking...
