Cloudy in appearance, the rich but delicately bitter taste of Franziskaner Weissbier results from the large percentage of wheat malt. The flavours of this wheat beer are fruity, with a touch of citrusy orange, mixed with spices, such as clove and coriander. There's also a touch of other tropical fruits, such as banana.

Great wheat beer
Husbands favourite wheat beer. A regular purchase in our house.

Beer conorsers will scorn at this review but if youre a regular lager drinker avoid this stuff, its evidently an acquired taste. Of course this isnt a lager its an ale, wheat beer. I tried this because I enjoyed Spaten, the German helles lager so much and it was out of stock, unfortunately its chalk and cheese. I thought Id experiment with another German beer and really wish I didnt. I watched rave review of this stuff on you tube, they said it would be refreshing on a summers day. The reality is thats its a very acquired taste and about as refreshing as a cold bovril on a summers day and tastes quite similar.

This is a great German wheat beer. Refreshing, a bit cloudy and yummy.
In my opinion, the best beer money can buy
Beautiful beer that is consistently amazing every bottle you buy. It would be nice to see Ocado put the beer on offer as I tend to buy my Franziskaner elsewhere.
