good
nice flavour
maggots
I still feel nauseous!!!
tough and maggots
My advice: dont buy it. I used once and threw away the rest so quite expensive!
Nice flavour
I am no mushroom connoisseur but found these to be nice and flavoursome and hydrated very well after soaking for the desired time.
Maggots in Rehydrated Porcini
I've been making mushroom risotto with porcini mushrooms for years and never had an issue but today, I found about 50 tiny maggots in my porcini mushrooms. I had rehydrated them by soaking in hot water and as I was draining the stock, noticed a couple of white worm looking things. After squeezing out the excess water I noticed a number of mushrooms split open and filled with maggots inside. Have had to go to the shop to buy more but really queazy after the experience.
Maggots
Sadly, the mushrooms were full of maggots. Waste of money and ruined dinner.
