Our Cumberland Sausage is a sumptuously bold take on a well known classic with plenty of expertly selected herbs, spices and black & white pepper to enhance a rich and succulent sausage – made with the finest cuts of British Shoulder of Pork.

Storage
Keep refrigerated, once open use within 2 days and do not exceed the use by date. Freeze on the day of purchase & use within one month. Defrost thoroughly before cooking & use the same day. Once defrosted do not re-freeze.
Preparation and Usage
Cook from chilled. Remove all packaging. Not suitable for microwave cooking. All appliances vary, the following are guidelines only.
Grill: Place under a preheated medium-hot grill for 14-16 min, turning regularly.
Fry: Heat a little oil in in the pan. Fry on a medium heat for 14-16 min, turning regularly.
Oven: Place on a oven tray, cook in the centre of a preheated oven at 190°C/Fan 180°C/Gas Mark 5 for approx. 20-25 minutes, turning halfway.
After cooking - ensure product is piping hot and no pink colour remains.

i removed the skin and used the filling to make sausage rolls, lovely !

Disappointing
Tried these sausages on the back of us enjoying the burgers. I feel a cumberland should have more meat content than these as i could really taste the filler in my sausage sandwich that was far too 'bready' as a result. I guess they'll be fine in a fry or casserole though.

Tasty sausages that grill well
I get the comments about high price but taste wise these are one of our favourite sausages. Well seasoned, good protein and the skins don't go too tough when grilling. We really rate Edwards bacon too so the "buy any 2 for £6" softens the price concern on Ocado. (These are £2.99 on the Edwards web site!)

Do the pigs ever see daylight?
I will not be buying these again as the pork is only red tractor-approved and there is no indication that the pigs have been outdoor reared.
