FLAVOUR IS A FRONTIER
Extra Virgin Cold-pressed Rapeseed Oil 500ml
- A naturally processed golden oil with a gentle nutty flavour, its high burning temperature makes it an excellent foundation for both raw use and high heat cooking.
- Carefully cultivated over one year on Oscar's family farm in Hertfordshire, the rapeseed is then cold pressed and bottled on site.
- Pressed slowly in small batches, the process extracts only the finest oil - fifty percent less oil than industrially produced from the same quantity of rapeseed.
- The oil is left to settle for sixty days, a natural filtering process bypassed by industrial producers.
- Once pressed, the remaining nutritious oilseed ‘cake’ is fed to Oscar’s Dexter cattle. To neatly complete the cycle, the cattle manure is used as fertiliser for the rapeseed crop.
Take it further
- A nutritious cooking fat with half the saturated fats of olive oil and high levels of omega oils.
- Whisk into egg yolks for a nutty, golden mayonnaise.

Really good, but expensive
We used this oil to cook our roast potatoes at Christmas. Its great, you dont need a huge amount and it added a great flavour rather than the greasiness that vegetable oil tends offer. Would highly recommend, just a shame its so expensive.
50/50
Its definitely good but its missing something for my palette. Dont get that wow taste I do from the Ocado Gold, which btw, seems to have fallen off the conveyor belt. Pity.
Very good!
Everything a rapeseed oil should be.
Silky \x26 Delicious
This oil is simply delicious. Have used it for both drizzling over salads and for cooking with and it is now my absolute go-to oil. This should be a staple in everyone's kitchen!
Very good
I don't usually like rapeseed oil as too heavy but a recipe called for it and this is so smooth and not overpowering. Thrilled with this discovery and will now start using in more recipes.
How has this remained a secret for so long?
Have tried all sorts of olive , rape, and on and on. No longer and it is BRITISH, and is the best of the best for all cooking purposes.
