Preparation and Usage
If applying directly to a cake use smooth apricot jam or a small amount of buttercream to secure the icing to the cake. To apply to a cake with marzipan or to white icing slightly moisten the surface with cooled boiled water.
To achieve an extra smooth surface and remove any excess icing sugar, polish with the flat of your hand.
Coloured Regal-Ice Ready to Roll Icing is suitable for covering or modelling.

Store in a cool, dry and dark place.
Once opened, wrap any unused icing in polythene or foil to prevent it drying out.

Terrible smell
We used this to make some toppers for my son's birthday cake. Whilst it was easy to use and the colours were vibrant, the smell was so bad that I decided not to use some of the things we made for fear of the smell putting party guests off. Bought a different brand from a craft shop which didn't smell. Won't buy this again.
Useful for some things...
I've used these for decorations and for cookie toppings. They're not perfect, but useful in a pinch for small decorations, backup if you haven't got enough fondant, or with kids. Be aware also there's not much of each colour, so if you want a large scale project buy several, or get a proper pack if you don't want to run out.
Red one had a horrible smell and taste
Easy to use and mix the colours but the red one had a strange, incredibly disgusting, chemical smell and taste. Bright colours which give a good visual effect though.

My kids and I used this on our Christmas cake and it worked very well. It was easy to mix colours together to make different shades.
Do not buy this!
No matter how useful you think it will be to get the variety of colours in small portions in one pack ... please do not buy this product. It is not fondant icing. It is sticky goo that cracked and dried before I could even roll it out. It was simply not possible to cover a cake with this stuff. Rather use Squires or Waitrose (white) which won't let you down.
