Unpleasant smell
I usually love Picpoul de Pinet but this is really bad...smells like a drain and doesn't taste much better. Waste of money.
not a good Picpoul
I usually love Picpoul but this was the first one I had I didnt like. Its very yellow and oak flavoured and scented. Tastes cheap.
Damaged bottles
I bought two bottles of this wine whilst on offer, I opened one bottle later in the week and the screw cap didn't seem to click and I was able to open it too quickly with no resistance, the wine tasted awful in an off way with a light bubble in it. I threw it away and asked for a refund. The following weekend I went to open the other bottle but it felt wet and sugary around the cap , again the wine was off and I didn't even try this one, by this time it was also too late to ask for a refund! Beware!
reasonable quality on offer
Great value on offer, crisp & light
poor example
Not a great example of a Picpoul. Choose another at a similar price and I think youll find it nicer.
Really enjoyed this.
First time trying Picpoul and was pleasantly surprised. Too bad it's been out of stock since....
