Daylesford Organic Free Range Chicken Mini Fillets

At Daylesford we've been farming organically for over 35 years, meaning our animals enjoy their natural grass and forage-based diet, growing into strong and healthy animals, free from unnecessary chemicals, antibiotics and GM feed.

We choose British breeds who thrive in their native landscape and encourage healthy biodiversity on our farm. We avoid waste of any kind, so manure and kitchen waste compost are returned to the soil as rich natural fertilisers. We have built our own abattoir to ensure the highest animal welfare and reduced food miles, which results in better tasting meat, and we spread our message far beyond the boundaries of our own fields.

Storage

Keep refrigerated 0-5ᵒC. Consume within the use by date. Once pack is opened use on the same day. Suitable for freezing on day of purchase. Use within one month. Defrost fully before use. Do not re-freeze once defrosted.

Preparation and Usage

For perfectly cooked chicken, our head chef recommends roasting:

Grill (10-12 mins): Preheat grill. Place on a grill tray, brush with oil, turning frequently until thoroughly cooked, the juices run clear and there is no pink meat

Pan fry (6-8 mins): For best results pan fry, heat 1 tablespoon of oil in frying pan, add chicken, cook on high heat to seal, turn and seal other side. Reduce heat until thoroughly cooked, the juices run clear and there is no pink meat.

Suitable for stir fry.

Wash hands, knives and surfaces thoroughly before and after preparing raw chicken.

New?????

Are you taking us for mugs Ocado? How can this be "NEW" with reviews dating back to 2019? And this is not isolated to this product there are MANY on here with the same claim to be new and are clearly NOT!!

dates are seemingly inaccurate

So multiple occasions I have got these mini fillets when the M&S ones are out of stock and more often than not they smell off when I open them despite being well inside the date. I have also determined that they are actually not bad to eat. I make sure they are cooked well as with all chicken and they taste fine and dont give me any issues. It may be something the birds eat that gives the meat a sour smell or they really are off an Ive been lucky with washing and cooking. Either way something needs to be done to manage this as its probably resulting in a lot of wasted meat!

Great chicken but goes off before use by date

Love the ethics of this but if you don't use it asap goes off and smells strongly of vinegar .. wish the use by dates were more accurate or it latest as promised.. wasteful

Good quality chicken

I often buy Daylesford chicken and it has always been very good: high quality and tasty. Their organic chicken soup is also excellent.

Excellent Quality

Marinated my chicken in Moroccan spices and yoghurt. Made skewers served up with mixed salad, tzatziki and flatbreads. Delicious.
