I like these, but they maybe an acquired taste
These are good lentil pasta. They are lovely with a creamy sauce or a substantial sauce like Bolognese- not as good with thinner sauces or pesto etc (they need other textures with them). If youre expecting wheat pasta taste youll be disappointed. But if you like lentil pasta its great! Packs protein into lunch/dinner and keeps you full for ages.
I really like them
So Im 34 but still love dinosaurs. These are a bit of fun and I like the taste and texture. I mix some pesto or cream cheese and red pepper sauce through and its a quick lunch. If you are expecting them to be like normal pasta its not and takes a little longer to cook.
The best gluten free pasta we have tasted
I really hope this comes back into stock because its the best gluten free pasta weve had!
Cooks quickly but distinctive flavour not liked
I was pleased with the way this cooked. It was quick and although it did froth up, it didn't come out of the pan claggy in the way some gluten free pastas do. Sadly none of us, apart from the dog, was happy with the distinctive flavour, including the red lentil fan, so wouldn't buy again.
Good alternative
These are a good gluten-free alternative. No overpowering taste, so a good accompaniment for a tasty pasta sauce. My only criticism is that they have a thick texture and are not as delicate as an ordinary wheat penne pasta, for example.
Good alternative to wheat pasta
Was sent this to review. Firmer than wheat pasta. tastes ok. It's expensive for a small bag but if you couldn't have wheat then it's a good alternative. Holds up well to a spicy tomato sauce.
