I\x27ve really tried with this stuff
I've really tried to use this stuff instead of flour made pasta, but it really doesn't work. It never reaches the al dente stage and can only be compared to chewing rubber bands, not a pleasant experience
Not good
It was like trying to eat elastic bands, not good
Horrible
Like chewing old cardboard :/ save your money
Rubbery with a cardboard overtone
Boiled the heck out of it for 20 mins but it was still tough - added my beautifully prepared ragu, topped with freshly grated parmesan, sprinkled with fresh basil, then chucked in the bin - it was inedible. Horrible texture and aftertaste - definitely not to be recommended.
Terrible
Do not recommend! Terrible texture, tastes nothing like pasta.
opens recipe doors
So its not just like pasta. Of course not. But it makes a great alternative in my opinion. I follow other reviewers advice and soak in boiling water for 20 mins and then just bring back to the boil to heat through. Good in puttanesca, bolognese even carbonara. And whilst the recommended portion size is small, it is very filling.
