This Seed Feeder is made from a strong metal and has a robust outer protective mesh to stop larger birds and squirrels from entering whilst smaller birds fly through the outer mesh and feed from the inner mesh. When large birds and squirrels try to sit on this feeder, it swings freely on the handle, making it difficult for them to feed.
Instructions
Open the lid at the top and fill the feeder with seed. Hang the feeder from a bracket, feeding station or tree.

squirrel has won
Squirrel quickly learnt to open the feeder. plier-ed the lid shut. Squirrel much strong than us. had the lid open in less than 10 minutes, then sat mocking us while he ate the suet-y goodness. Waiting for the welding torch to arrive. Watching the blue tits use it was lovely as well!
Not Squirrel proof
It took one week for the squirrel to work out how to open the bird feeder. It was quite entertaining to see it come everyday and try different things to gain entry into the feeder. It managed to do so in about a week.

Within an hour lots of different garden birds feeding safely keeping the larger birds out
doesnt work
Have just watched two tits and a robin attempt to get in to the seeds and they cant get in through the too-narrow gaps between the wires. Probably a wren could but cant imagine what else. Very disappointed. Were now butchering it with wire cutters.
not squirrel proof
Great little feeder, but the squirrels broke in through the lid without any trouble at all, even when secured with extra clips, and we even tried pegs!
Lovely, but not squirrel proof
Feels sturdy and keeps out the pigeons, but it took less than 10 minutes for the squirrel to find it, flip the lid open, turn it upside down and gobble down a load of seed. Don't buy it for the squirrel resistance element but do buy it for a lovely, sturdy seed feeder. If you have no trouble with squirrels, then I would award it 5 stars without hesitation.
