Too Expensive
What is wrong with kindling and firefighters. Too much of the cost of a fire.
Good but expensive
These were much better value when Ocado stocked them in packs of three. Ive stopped buying them from here now they are only available individually. However, for starting a fire they are great as long as theyve been stored correctly. It kept somewhere damp then the paper will just burn and the log will only smoke or go out. Make sure you keep them somewhere dry and youll be rewarded with a fire log that gets your fire going easily and lasts a good couple of hours while giving off a nice amount of heat. I use for camping continuously and in my wood burner as just the first log.
Does the job well
Ive been underusing my stove due to health concerns about breathing in smoke particles every time I open the door. These heat logs are the perfect answer - light once, leave alone and let them burn for a couple of hours. More heat then I expected. Will use again
perfect for a trip to Center Parcs!
Just what we needed!
Really happy with these.
We bought these while they were on offer and were very happy with them. They caught light quickly and burnt for about 4ish hours. We only use our fireplace very occasionally so these were perfect.
Decision! Hotter than the heat logs!
I read that it's only us soft, idle southerners that use kiln dried logs whereas elsewhere canny people use compressed sawdust / wood. I've been trying to decide which of the firelogs or heat logs gives more heat. Or is it that the only difference is how long each lasts? I've been burning heat logs for a couple of hours this afternoonI put one of these on and the temperature instantly rose. They are obviously more expensive but I reckon that with adjusting the air flow each one lasts a couple of hours. Comparable with kiln dried, though of course these have to be kept indoors. I suppose that heat logs are good in Spring and Autumn when we don't need so much heat.
