Baci chocolate truffles is much more than a simple chocolate, it's a love and affection messenger, with its secret love notes wrapping the chocolate masterpiece.
Baci has a beautiful story, invented in 1922 by Luisa Spagnoli, the creative genius owner of Perugina chocolate company. She created a delicious chocolate bonbon by blending only 8 ingredients: chocolate with a grounded hazelnut cream, mixing with tiny chopped hazelnuts pieces, crowning it with a whole crunchy hazelnut and covering it in fine dark chocolate. According to legend, the first love note appeared in the 1930s, when she wanted to send a secret love message to her beloved one.
Nearly 100 years later, the original recipe and process remains unchanged and Baci continues to be crafted with love in Italy, in the same territory where it born, close to Perugia city, where the the factory has been established more than a century ago, and it is still today a symbol of quality chocolate and tradition. Baci is a simple gesture full of meanings, for gifting, sharing... or simply savouring.

Moreish truffles
Good quality dark chocolate. Nice to have a whole hazelnut in addition to the chopped hazelnuts. Would definitely recommend as a treat but would opt for Ferrero Rocher if asked to make a choice.
Terrific truffles
These truffles have a rich chocolate taste and delicious.The dark outer layer is very smooth and the centre is creamy and nutty . The simple and no added ingredients are an added bonus.
nicer than Ferraro Roches
These are great - in my opinion a much nicer version of Ferraro Rocher, which are a bit sickly. Theres a whole roasted hazelnut sitting on good quality truffle, and encased in thick dark chocolate. The chocolate is dark and satisfying- very moreish, but I stick to 2 or 3, which is definitely a treat at the price. Also, theres a little saying inside, like a Chinese fortune cookie. Definitely worth buying for someone special, if youre looking for a little gift.
