Good value and good standby
I don't know why it's so difficult to find a decent nut roast! They seem to vary between tasteless, house brick substitute and crazy prices for not very much. I've tried all three in the Artisan range and the cashew and cranberry is the best. It's fairly moist when served, actually tastes nutty (not all do!) and has a nice tang from the cranberries. It's improved even more by generous amounts of gravy on it! Definitely one for the store cupboard and I can see myself going for it at Christmas as a good, safe choice that's well-priced.
not great
I was looking forward to this but couldnt believe it was a packet of dry stuffing! You add water and put it in the oven, very disappointed as thought it would be healthy and full of good ingredients not dry dust! It was ok to eat but wont buy again especially as it wasnt cheap either
Easy!
So this is very convenient to have in the store cupboard and super quick to prepare. Served hot with vegetables it was ok but the household didn't love it. Maybe it tastes better cold with salad? I usually make nut loaf from scratch so maybe an unfair comparison. However, making from scratch takes time and I may purchase again to have as a standby quick fix.
too sweet for me
It is a good idea and love that it has a long shelf life. Was too sweet for me though with the cranberries and I prefer other nut roast alternatives out there. It was pleasant enough otherwise and was quite moist actually
lovely and tasty.
we had it cold with salad and pickles. not dry at all. best nut roast ever. daughter who does not like nut roasts even liked this. and so easy to make.
Didnt enjoy
Quite an earthy taste with a loaf type texture. The cranberries were more overpowering than I thought they would be.
