Product information

A classic, unique and unmistakable Italian vermouth. First invented in 1786, in Turin by Antonio Benedetto Carpano, its inimitable recipe remains unchanged to this day. Made from white wine, Piedmontese muscatel and the rich wines of southern Italy. Its taste comes from carefully selected, brewed mountain herbs although its most prominent feature is its vanilla bouquet, matched by notes of spices and dried fruit such as star anise, orange peel and dates.

Always our Number One Choice

It's smooth, rich in flavour, has a good kick to it and makes a brilliant negroni. When visiting Sicily, this was the bars' first choice and often served neat over single block of ice and with large twist of orange peal.

Delicious

I've tried many vermouths and this is one of my favorites. Expensive, yes, but worth it for its complexity and layers of flavour. Also makes a superior negroni.

For the love of vermouth

I love it all, sweet, dry, white, red, extra dry. So I couldn't not love this. I'm not a negroni purist, so I'd use this for a negroni, but I'd also use Martini Rosso. It's got a distinctive spicy, musty and syrupy character. Try it in a New York Minute or Autumn Leaves. It's for cocktail connoisseurs.

perfect for a negroni connoisseur

Ongoing debate between me and a friend whether this is the best or Cocchi. This wins hands down for me. Expensive but if youre going to have a negroni why compromise on the quality of the ingredients.

Just lovely

I treated myself to a bottle of this after having a premixed vermouth and tonic; which I really enjoyed. This vermouth is a cut above and makes a lovely aperitif with tonic.
