A bitter powder
Im trying the range of loose breakfast teas in Ocado and this has been my least favourite despite coming back to it a few times to try again. Its a very fine powder and we found it very strong which isnt normally a problem but it was just too bitter for us and not a smooth tea at all
Flavour ok but doesnt really resemble leaves, very fine ground tea which is harder to strain out.
But dusty. The texture is too fine for my teapot strainer and we're left with grains in the pot and cup.
Brews Nice and Strong
I used to be a PG Tips devotee, but eventually found that I just couldn't get the depth of flavour any more. I don't know if they changed their blend or if I built up a tea tolerance, but this has replaced it as my everyday tea. It brews nice and strong, and is far superior to the Yorkshire Tea Gold, which I find too weak. These loose fannings are ideal if, like me, you don't like to use plastic-containing tea bags.
Dust not leaves
It looks as if someone took the contents of tea bags and put them into bigger bag. I wouldnt call it tea leaves.
One of the best teas. I make mine in a stainless steel stovetop coffee pot which does a good job of removing the tea leaves. Not as good as the tea when Yorkshire first came to the market but nevertheless one of the best. If I fancy a bigger leaf I get their Gold. I used to like their hard water green bagged loose tea but they don't do that any more.
