not very large
You maybe get 2 very large eggs out of six not worth the money not buying again going back to large
These eggs were very disappointing, they were clearly not fresh and the whites were just watery, flattening around a not very tasteful yolk. I used to buy these in Waitrose and never had a problem with them so maybe its to do with how long Ocado have had them. I would not order these again.
why yolks are not clean??
Egg yolk always has a white web on it, i wonder if its the placenta???
great but too big for me !
Bought these on the thought that they might be slightly bigger than the large organic eggs which I find too small however these are probably double the size of the large !. Great for some Im sure buts bit too big for me !. Always come back to these duchy eggs though all other brands are rubbish Im finding
The best that there is...
Expensive but these are about the best I've found in a supermarket. Really large and thin shells. Keeping trying cheaper eggs but always come back to these.
Not Very Large at all
Everytime I purchased these, I kept meaning to test to see whether they were 'very large' so I went ahead and bought the British Blacktail large eggs just to compare. As I thought, the Duchy are no bigger than the Blacktail 'large' eggs. I feel really cheated. The shell is also quite soft when cracked and by that I mean it doesn't have a clean crack to it and the whites certainly don't release easily. This means they're pretty old by the time they reach the customer. I feel Ocado are really slipping. It's not the first product i have realised just isn't worth the money. Trading standards would have a lot to say about a "Very Large Egg' isn't very large at all and is simply a normal large as all the others. Shame on you Duchy and Ocado/Waitrose.
