History
Quinta da Calçada is in the heart of the Vinho Verde region in Amarante. Owned by the da Mota family since 1917, the winery is one of the oldest producers of Vinho Verde, with a focus on high-quality still and sparkling wines.
Regional Information
Nestled in northwest Portugal, the picturesque Vinho Verde region produces wines with signature freshness and vibrant fruit. The rolling hills offer diverse microclimates, while the abundant rainfall and the influence of the Atlantic contribute to the lush, green landscapes. Here, the grapes enjoy a longer growing season, which promotes gradual ripening and results in wines with high natural acidity and distinct aromatics.

The grapes are destemmed and lightly pressed with the juice running off into gravity-fed tanks. It is fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures to preserve freshness.

Great rose for the price

Not as dry as I usually drink but still very pleasant. Cant argue with a nice bottle of rose when on offer at £6.50!
