Product information
Terra Organica is an award-winning, planet-friendly range of organic, vegan and sustainably made wines. Each wine has been expertly blended and crafted in complete harmony with nature, but without any compromise on quality or taste.
This rich and smooth primitivo has intense aromas of ripe blackberries and prunes. A full-bodied and velvety wine with blackberry, prune and dark chocolate flavours, and a long, layered finish. Ideal paired with rich tomato-based dishes and full-flavoured cheeses. Awarded Silver in The Drinks Business Global Organic & Vegan Masters 2023, and Highly Commended in IWC 2023.
The Botter winery was founded in 1928 by Carlo Botter. The vineyards growing this organic primitivo are located in Puglia where the climate is temperate, moderated by the Adriatic Sea and protected from northern winds by the Alps. The vines are all between 20 and 25 years in age which ensures a high quality of grapes and controlled yields.
To develop the smooth, full-bodied style, the wine is carefully vinified using techniques to extract delicate tannins and varietal fruit characteristics with a 15-day maceration. The final blend is partially aged in oak, adding further richness and complexity.
Terra Organica is committed to sustainable winemaking, which is why we have removed all unnecessary packaging (such as cork capsules), only use FSC accredited paper and cartons and use lighter-weight bottles made from a high percentage of recycled glass.
Awarded Gold in the Harpers 2023 Packaging and Design Awards.

Mediocre
Passable enough to drink but certainly unremarkable. Quite heavy on tannins and cloying vanilla taste in background.
