Tasting Notes

The nose is expressive and offers a delicate bouquet of yellow ripe fruit like peach and pineapple, with notes of vanilla and slightly smoked. Lovely concentration of the aromas, the finish is long and oaky

History

The winery was founded in the sixties by local growers, and today they are around 300 who deliver grapes of their property. In the last years they have improved
the technology in the winery (stainless steel tanks with temperature control, pneumatic press¿)

Regional Information

The vineyard is located in the center of Spain, at about 800 meters and has a Continental Mediterranean climate.

Vinification Details

The date of the harvest was carefully chosen to let mature the grape in a optimal way favoring aromas of ripe (mature) fruits and the aromatic expression. In the wine storehouse: a low-temperature direct pressing with an optimal extraction smoothly. Cold traditional wine making: alcoholic fermentation and breeding.

very pleasant and easy to drink

Unfortunately I didnt get this as a free sample and fortunately I didnt read the reviews before I bought it on offer. This is a nice dry wine that isnt bitter and is very pleasant to drink. Its all about personal taste and this wine suits mine nicely. Another bottle in the trolley

Viura and Chardonnay

I bought this thinking it was a Chardonnay, silly me, Viura is listed first on the label. Viura is incredibly floral. This isnt a bad wine, its just not what I was expecting.

my mouth can be your bin

If you are considering binning this wine, as many previous reviews have suggested, please pour into the hosepipe protruding my letter box. Exquisite. Never drink and drive.

worst wine ever

In 40 years of wine drinking I have never tasted such a bizarre and awful tasting wine. Could not drink more than half a glass -whole bottle poured into sink

Aftertaste

Im reviewing this product as I got a free sample from Ocado. I had this wine with family and we all agreed for a Chardonnay it has a strange aftertaste which I suspect is the addition of white flowers as described on the bottle. I think this one is probably like marmite either you love it or you hate it and we definitely would not being purchasing this particular Chardonnay and as a family we usually love a good bottle of Chardonnay.
